POPLAR LODGE IS NOW FOR SALE!!! Well known for its rustic, mountain retreat feel and stone exterior. The restaurant was a Henderson County landmark known for its dining atmosphere and beloved salad bar. It has the feel of a rustic mountain retreat, with dark logs and creamy chinking. Inside, patrons could enjoy meals around a large fireplace or on the back terrace, all surrounded by mountains. In addition to serving the public, it was a popular venue for meetings, banquets, and special events. In its early years, it functioned as a guest house with a dance hall and nightclub.
